Story's not over
What he, Jerry Brown, did was file a brief with the California Supreme Court. In his brief, he argued that Prop 8 was invalid. A few blogs ago, I reported that the California Supreme Court agreed to hear challenges to Prop 8. The Attorney General's brief is his contribution to the this new court case.
According to the link above, the Brown had earlier leaned towards defending prop 8:
"We are very pleased that upon review of the law, he has moved from his previous statements that he would defend Prop 8..."
A positive development. I personally look towards those who watch our side and their side fight, and then make an intellectually honest call as to who's side to take.
