Blog, "Cool Aunt", highlights adults in the family who answer questions when parents deny answers

Awesome blog, Cool Aunt.

A good story:

"My cool aunt isn’t an aunt at all –it’s my father. Unlike stereotypical sitcom fathers, my dad never tried to shield me from a world of "raging hormones" or pretend I didn’t have my own desires. Denied any knowledge about sexuality growing up in pre-WWII south, my father knew the pain and confusion of growing up and growing into a sexual person with no “cool aunt” to show him the way. He was determined to raise me differently. Sure, many of the talks were a little uncomfortable for both of us, but I knew he would never judge me and was there to support me." (boldface emphasis, mine)
