Religious Right Gives Rise To The Medical Right

Their is a religious group that is pro-choice. The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. They fight to affirm reproductive choice as a form of religious liberty, because such intense personal decisions must be left to the individual woman who consults with whom she chooses to consult with, including her own faith teachings.

Truth is that religions have a far wider diversity of opinion on abortion and sex than the the public statements of the Vatican and the U.S. Christian lobbyists.

But we see a new threat. The religious right power structure is shaping a new breed of doctors who practice medicine in a way that pleases their fundamentalist views. Pharmacists refusing birth control are the iceberg tip. Many patients discover that their hospital has been absorbed by Catholic privatizations.
