Equal Ground is Sri Lanka's LGBT rights group. They've been working long before I knew of their existence. The laws and social climate in Sri Lanka are more homophobic than here in U.S. so the struggle for equality requires much more courage.

Though the site might not say it yet, Equal Ground has emailed me to say that the first Sri Lankan gay man has gotten asylum in the U.S. Yay!
